LIUNA General President Terry O'Sullivan Praises Tom Perez for Labor Secretary Confirmation

Washington, D.C. (July 18, 2013) – Terry O'Sullivan, General President of LIUNA - the Laborers' International Union of North America – issued the following statement on the U.S. Senate’s confirmation of Thomas E. Perez to head the U.S. Department of Labor:

advocate for the advancement of American middle-class families because he understands the struggles that working men and women face every day. We are eager to
begin working with Secretary Perez on efforts to strengthen our occupational safety laws, wage and hour standards and unemployment and re-employment benefits for all
