LIUNA commends the introduction of the Dream Act and thanks Senator Durbin (D-IL) for championing the cause of hundreds of thousands of immigrant workers and their families. Dreamers, who came to the United States as children of immigrant parents have waited too long without a path to citizenship. LIUNA urges lawmakers to come together on a solution for both Dreamers and TPS-holders that provides permanence and certainty to workers who have built careers, raised families, paid taxes, and even served in our military.
