Stop All the Excuses and End the Shameful Politics Used to Block Keystone

Statement of Terry O’Sullivan, General President of LIUNA, On Nebraska Supreme Court Ruling Clearing Way for Keystone XL

Washington, D.C. (January 9, 2015) – Terry O’Sullivan, General President of LIUNA – the Laborers’ International Union of North America – made the following statement today on the Nebraska Supreme Court clearing the way for the Keystone XL Pipeline:

The Nebraska Supreme Court has approved the route of the Keystone XL pipeline just as Congress is set to vote on the pipeline. The President should immediately resume the National Interest Determination that he needlessly suspended last year and Democrats in Congress must stop all the excuses and end the shameful politics used to block Keystone. They should join in a bipartisan manner to approve the project and create jobs.

Americans concerned about energy independence and working men and women eager to build our nation’s energy future are encouraged by this progress.  It’s time to move forward to unlock energy and good construction careers.
