Washington, D.C. (October 28, 2026) — The entire LIUNA family is deeply saddened by the passing of our sister and a true giant of our movement, Dolores Huerta. Dolores was the absolute heart of labor solidarity, teaching us that when workers show up for each other day in and day out, we are unstoppable.

One in five workers in this country is an immigrant, and Dolores lived by the truth that an attack on immigrant workers is an attack on all workers. We practice solidarity at LIUNA, and we will honor her memory by waking up every single day and continuing her fight for working families.
