President Biden’s order to incentivize domestic rare mineral development is a step in the right direction for our nation’s energy security and the hard working men and women of LIUNA who work on mineral mining projects.

The United States has rich reserves of minerals that are crucial to a transition to a clean energy economy. LIUNA strongly supports the development of these resources here in our nation by skilled and experienced union members rather than importing materials from unfriendly nations.

LIUNA looks forward to working with the Administration as the government mobilizes resources to spur development of our nation’s minerals.
