2011 EDWARD M. SMITH

 SCHOLARSHIP GOLF

TOURNAMENT

Thanks to our over 85 hole sponsors and over 35 team sponsors we raised over $60,000 for the 2011 Edward M. Smith Scholarship Golf Tournament.  Not only were we blessed with the largest support of sponsors to date for this event, we were blessed with a beautiful sunny day, with temperatures in the low 80’s!  A special thanks to all of our Laborer Brothers & Sisters who helped in all areas of support for the tournament, the success of this event is a true reflection of the dedication, time, and energy each of you gave.

Congratulations to our Golf Tournament Winners: Championship 1^st place / Womick Law Firm, Championship 2^nd place Greg Weeks, A-Flight 1^st Place Prince Law Firm, A-Flight 2^nd Place SIU Foundation, B-Flight 1^st Place Bennie Vick’s Team. We hope our participants had as much fun attending and playing in this event, as we did sponsoring and sharing it with you. Again, THANK YOU! Your generosity allows Laborers’ Local 773 to continue to award educational scholarships to the many deserving applicants we have year after year.

ENJOY A BEAUTIFUL DAY AT

EVERGREEN PARK

Over 70 retiree members enjoyed a beautiful sunny day at Evergreen Park in Carbondale, IL.  Local Retiree Member Jack Childers brought his friends and band together so everyone could enjoy some great Bluegrass Music.  Special Thanks to Mark Prince Law Firm for sponsoring the event and catering from Great Boars of Fire.  Attendees enjoyed an afternoon filled with music, games, prizes, entertainment, food, and socialization.  Thanks to all who joined us at this Annual Event.

 

2011 RETIREE COUNCIL

CHRISTMAS PARTY

Over 100 Retiree Members and their guests attended the Annual Retiree Christmas Party this year at Rent-One-Park in Marion, IL.  The party included beverages, a wonderful buffet dinner, door prizes, gifts, and speaker Senator Gary Forby.  Thanks to all who attended and made this event so special.
