If you are out of work and need to get on the Out of Work List either stop in or call the Local at (507) 282-2349 and get signed up. IF YOU ARE ON UNEMPLOYMENT YOU ALSO NEED TO BE ON THE OUT OF WORK LIST! The Unemployment Office DOES check our list occasionally. THE LIST HAS CHANGED FOR THE 2ND QUARTER APRIL 2, 2012!You need to either stop in or call the office during our regular office hours Monday thru Thursday 6:30 a.m.- 4:30 p.m. and Friday 6:30 a.m.- 4:00 p.m. to get signed up!

LOCAL 405 SCHOLARSHIPS
Once again the Local will be awarding four $250.00 scholarships to graduating high school seniors. If anyone needs an application you can pick one up at the Local or give us a call and we can mail one out to you! The applications need to be turned in by June 8, 2012 and will be drawn by lottery at the June 12, 2012 meeting. Winners of the lottery need to attend a meeting along with a parent or guardian to receive your scholarship.
MINNESOTA LECET ANNOUNCES SCHOLARSHIP/LEADERSHIP GRANT PROGRAM FOR 2012
Academic Scholarship Program - Geared toward students who are currently enrolled in a higher educational institution and have declared their major in a construction related program. Applicants must be in their second year or more at an approved institution. Applicants must be either a current Minnesota Laborers Union Member or immediate family member, or a current Minnesota Laborers Signatory Union Contractor staff employee or immediate family member. Academic Year: 2012/13 For program information please visit the official program website at www.mnlecet.org. Applications are due by July 16, 2012.
Leadership Grant Program - Designed specifically for current Minnesota Laborers Union Members who desire to use the grant assistance to further enhance their leadership development through the use of higher educational academic coursework relating to communication, construction management, leadership development and more. Applicants must be a current Minnesota Laborers Union Member in good standing with his/her Laborers Local Union Hall.
