Apprenticeship Requirements
Level 1 80% of Class 1 Wage Rate
Entry into the Apprenticeship Program to completion
of 1,500 Covered Work Hours and 100 hours of Related
Training;
Level 2 87% of Class 1 Wage Rate
Upon achieving 1,501 Covered Work Hours through
3,000 hours and 101 – 200 hours of Related Training;
Level 3 95% of Class 1 Wage Rate
Upon reaching 3,001 Covered Work Hours and
201 – 288 hours of Related Training.
It is important that you complete the required training hours during off times to avoid probation. It is also necessary to comply for eligibility to be on the “Out of Work” list.

To ALL Apprentices – since the construction season is slowing down you should be scheduling your classes and the first to be scheduled should be Orientation, Safety Week, or General Construction. Level 1 Apprentice is required to have 100 hours of training with these classes being part of that. All Apprentice that attend the monthly union meetings are credited with 2 hours of training for each meeting attended. Also, if you are considering taking the upgrade test, call for the next scheduled test. However, it is recommended that you have already completed the General Construction and the Safety Week prior to doing so along with 160 hours of training.
