Highway and Building Organizing

With more resources than virtually any union for growth, LIUNA is helping workers join together for better lives coast to coast.

With a renewed commitment to growth, elected delegates to LIUNA’s 23rd General Convention mandated more than $100 million for organizing – an unprecedented commitment and more than nearly any union in North America.

While LIUNA members have strength in many markets, in every region there are workers who are without unity and a strong voice, and who must work for less than they’re worth. As part of the membership commitment to unrepresented workers, 25 cents for every hour worked will be contributed to regional organizing funds, generating more than $100 million by 2009.

In addition, LIUNA is authorizing grants for public service workers who want to join together in a union.
